Process for OT-36 (Transfer 36) Course Change Proposals
Criteria for this process
- The primary change to the course & syllabus is aligning the wording of course outcomes with the new OT-36 verbiage
- Minor tweaks to the assignments to align with the outcomes
Procedure
- Proposal is completed in Curriculog with the edited syllabus uploaded to the system. Faculty should identify the changes in the rationale in the proposal and make the changes to the syllabus easy to find (typed in red or highlighted).
- Committee members will access the proposals in Curriculog and review specific parts of the syllabus prior to the meeting
- Issues identified will be discussed at the meeting. If the issue cannot be resolved in the meeting, the faculty member making the proposal will be notified and asked to schedule for a time slot at the next meeting.
- Changes beyond the criteria listed above will require faculty to present their proposal at a scheduled meeting.
Caveats
- Deletion of the assessment of any College Wide Outcome—proposing faculty should run an impact report to be sure the change does not remove the only assessment of that CWO for a program. Most have multiple assessments for each CWO throughout the program, but it is important to check.
- If changes are made to the assessments for the Course Outcomes or CWOs, they must be reflected in the Assignments (section N) in the syllabus.
